Erik Bee

3D Artist

As a native Floridian I grew up with a tremendous passion to create. Whether it was drawing, painting, sculpting, or woodworking, I did it all. Throughout my middle school years I served as a teacher’s assistant in the art department. There I was able to further enhance my skills while sharing my knowledge and art to others. As I grew older I eventually honed my skills into carpentry and cabinet making which allowed me to express all my talents into one profession. From there I enrolled into stagecraft while attending high school constructing & painting most of the theatrical sets until moving up the ranks as head carpenter. While there I also dabbled in television production and even redesigned and constructed an interactive news set for the school. This eventually led to a steady demand for my services on float building during homecoming events. Once I got into college I continued my interests in theater at both University of Central Florida & Valencia College as once again head carpenter for many of the elaborate Broadway style performances they carried out. With my prior knowledge in television I also pursued film on the side that lead to a film major. As with theater I found myself constructing countless sets for anyone who needed to bring their film projects to life big or small. While in college I also worked on some construction jobs as a finish carpenter. After college I took another look at computers as another medium in further broadening my artistic skill set. After a steady interest in digital art I decided to attend a technical school to quickly expand on my knowledge especially in the realm of 3D design & creation. At DAVE (Digital Animation & Visual Effects) school I learned the rigorous 3D production process commonly used in the development of both video games & motion pictures. Shortly after graduating I moved to Memphis to work for Paradigm where I was able to combine both my passion in building with my new found knowledge & skills in digital creation. From there I branched off as a freelance artist and been doing that ever since.

When not working, I enjoy jeeping, video games, wood crafting, star gazing with my Dobsonian telescope, over decorating for the holidays …yep, I’m a real Clark Griswold and last but not least recently vacationing in the Appalachian Mountains every year. There I enjoy a little hiking, ATVing, kayaking, and occasionally horseback tours.
